Tacámbaro: Taller Martín Pescador, 2020. Wraps. Fine. Thin 4to. (18) pages finely printed. The title page bears an illustration of the tempation of St. Antony, attributed to the author in an 1886 periodical and inspired by a 1646 Florentine painting by Salvatore Rosa. Three tipped-in photographs of people involved in the story, and two cuts of printing presses, also featured in the story.
Bound in dark brown wraps, printed title label on the upper wrap. A fine copy. While the limitation is not shown, the printer advises that there were 56 copies only. Finely printed by Juan Pascoe at the Taller Martín Pescador.
The text is reprinted from The Sword and the Trowel, L., 1886. It is the beginning of the story of Pascoe's Protestant mission in Mexico. James Pascoe is the great-grandfather of the printer, Juan Pascoe.
