Frederick, MD: Examiner, [1900]. General wear. Damage to corners. . Each advertisement printed on heavy card stock has a chromolithograph illustration on the front and the menu of syrup flavors on the reverse. Both illustrate a woman wearing a Greek style dresses, and one is holding a branch of grapes while the other is holding flowers in one hand with a bunch of wheat and a scythe in the other. The advertisement on the back sides are the same for both- a list of the variety of health and soda drinks provided by A. C. McCardell. Some examples are: Pear Phosphates for impaired vitality, chocolate for nourishing and refreshment, Moxie for weakened energy, and Sarsaparilla for the blood. Also sold by A. C. McCardell were a whole line of Fruit Syrups and Ice Cream Soda, as well as Mineral Waters from Vichy (for Gentlemen), Deep Rock (for kidney trouble), and Bedford (for "sick headache"). Each item Measures 7" x 5".
