According to the only reference I have citing this title, the 1917 dates appears to be the first edition]. Signed inscription from Gillilan on the front endpaper: "With the most cordial regard- Strickland Gillilan. '17." Strickland Gillilan [1869-1954] was an American poet and humorist. He is most famous for the poem "The Reading Mother" which remains a common sentiment on Mother's Day.
