Gilt on decorative front cover remains relatively bright. Rubbing around perimeter of boards, particularly at corners and spine ends and along joints. Approx. 1" sq. area on rear boards where remnants of sticker remain. Library markings on front pastedown; previous owner's inscription on front endpaper; browning to endpapers. Foxing to early and late pages. One or two of the photographic plates may have superficial tears to margin, image at p150 detached but present. Binding secure and text block square and tight.
