Published as the centerfold of High Times Magazine, issue No. 121, September 1985, this unusual map shows the geography of the global drug trade in the 1980s. Distorting the size and scale of continents and oceans, the map is naively drawn to show generalized information through icons and informally written text. Simple icons represent various parts of production and trade, including growing, refining, and money laundering. The mapmaker uses slang terms and makes funny comments throughout the map. On the verso is a single page map, centered on the North Pole, showing the international trade routes of drugs. (Inventory #: 298130)
