by BRAUTIGAN, Richard
San Francisco/ Santa Barbara, CA: White Rabbit Press /Richard Brautigan, 1968. First edition. Brautigan's third and final self published book, done in an edition of 6000 copies. Features a pictorial folder that includes eight seed packets for Carrots, Lettuce, Calendula, Parsley, Shasta Daisy, California Native Flowers,Sweet Alyssum, Royal Carpet, and Squash. Each packet includes a poem by Brautigan. The folder has three sepia toned photographs by Bill Brach, typography by J.S. Brooke and with the entire project printed by Graham Mackintosh. One of the better representations of the counterculture nature of Brautigan's work with this being distributed for free and with the expectation that many, if not most, would be used as the title implored. Packets all in near fine or better condition and in a close to near fine folder that has some very faint foxing. Uncommon in this condition.
