Peter Force's greatest achievement came as a collector and editor of historical documents. He published Tracts and Other Papers, Relating Principally to the Origin, Settlement, and Progress of the Colonies in North America (4 vols. Washington, 1836-1846). Hartlib's pamphle "...a rare and new discovery of a speedy way, and easie means, found out... F the feeding of Silk-Worms in the woods, on the Mulberry-Tree-Leaves in Virginia..." was one of several promotions to delvelop the silk worm industry eary seventeenth century Virginia. Very good.
