A "slipper" lamp from the Byzantine period, in coarse pink-tan ware, with heavy earthen patinas. Plus, uncertain Near East, likely Late Antique Period 3 Century B.C. to 3 Century AD, in reddish terra cotta an amusing figural handle. Handle of a stylized boar, with beady eyes, straddling the topmost portion of the incise-decorated lid. Lengths: 3" - 3-3/4 (Inventory #: 13293)
