1915 · Troy, New York
Troy, New York, 1915. Wraps. Near Fine. Attractive catalogue of then a quotadian men's essential fashion accessory. 4to. 25 by 17.5 cm. 46 pp. With some color -- eight pages with colorized photo plates, plus one color vignette illustration within, and color illustration on front cover. Most pages with black and white illustrations of collars mostly but also shirt fronts, etc., all depicted rather handsomely on a green background. The George P. Ide Collar Company was one of the world's largest collar manufacturers in the early 20th century. At the time of writing, we do not know the fate of the company after 1930. We assume it suffered the same fate as its primary product, the detachable collar. The company's plant in Troy, New York, is still standing. Condition: light rubbing along spine fold. Otherwise gentle wear.
