Envelope reads "STOP - Look and Read - Do not throw me down or get me soiling - I contain valuable information." Recipe cards are on white cardstock with blue lettering; no content on verso. Envelope has heavy soiling and moderate wear. Recipe cards have light toning. Bear-Stewart Company is a manufacturer of bakery ingredients since 1899 and is still in operation today. These recipe cards were used to promote Bear's Flavorite, "a specially prepared food product" used with shortening to make "your white cake whiter, your yellow cake more yellow."
