Ardis Glenn was the owner of Glenn Antique Books in Kansas City. This is the first biography of the Hearsts based largely on Hearst family papers that were not available to previous biographers and is uncommon to find in the first edition. The study includes William Randolph Hearst, George Hearst, and Phoebe Apperson Hearst. Also laid in are ta promotional card for Robinson's book signed on June 9; a clipped newspaper article about from the Kansas City Star about the book; & two blank receipts from Glenn Books. A scarce book in the first edition!. Tall 8vo., black cloth in dust jacket; 441 pages. Illustrated.. Very Good (covers nice & bright; contents clean & tight); very minor wear d/j. A nice copy!
