Sponsored jointly by the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, the Institute of Radio Engineers, and the Association for Computing Machinery, this is one of a series of ongoing conferences which started in February of 1952, each with a different focus. This conference includes many interesting articles including "An Experimental Digital Flight Control System", "A Shaft-to-Digital encoder", "The IBM Magnetic Drum Calculator Type 650 - Engineering and Design" and others. The keynote address was "Will Electronic Principles Make Possible A Business Revolution" by W. W. McDowell. Today that is an easy question to answer. But then it must have been a heady time to be in the nascent computer business. Includes some images of early computers and/or components.
