A rare exhibition announcement for Belgian painter Serge Vandercam at Galerie Aujourd'hui, part of the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. The exhibition took place from March 8-22, 1958.
The announcement is printed on delicate rice paper and consists of a painting by Vandercam and text in French by Philippe d'Arschot. There are also three quotes in French from Ernst Jünger.
Vandercam (1924-2005) was closely associated with the CoBrA art movement. Besides being a painter, he was also a photographer and sculptor and worked in ceramics.
This announcement is rare. OCLC shows no institutional holdings. No others in commerce (September 2021).
CONDITION: A few small stains on the front panel and some light edge wear. Very Good or better. (Inventory #: 2423)
