Paris/Philadelphia: Chez Barrie Freres - George Barrie & Son, 1900. [Edition De Luxe, limited edition number 27]. Tall quartos in wraps, with black and red text on light brown spines. VG- for set. The following applies to all volumes: light edgewear to covers, with mild chipping to corners and more moderate chipping to heads and tails of spines; mild age-toning to wraps, with more darkening to outer edges. Faint stain to short (3"-7") portion of spine on volumes VII-X (damage is old and does not affect text itself). Some splitting of front cover from spine to volumes I and X, otherwise bindings still fully intact, with no loose signatures or sheets. No marks to text. All illustrations unmarked and fine. Text is in English. Hand-numbered 27 in red ink on limitations page, presumably of the limited edition of 50 copies printed on Japan paper (of a total run of 550). 32 parts in eleven volumes, complete. Shelved in Upstairs office, with remaining "13's"
