The biography of the English stage actor, Edmund Kean (1787 - 1833), who is regarded as one of the greatest actors who ever lived, known for his brilliant interpretations of Shakespeare’s works, including Richard III, Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth, and King Lear. Ben Kingsley has enjoyed a dynamic and diverse career as an actor, appearing in such acclaimed films as Schindler’s List, Sexy Beast, House of Sand and Fog, Oliver Twist, Searching for Bobby Fischer, and Gandhi for which he won an Oscar in 1982 for Best Actor for his portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi.
