Quarto (6" x 9-1/2") bound in full polished mottled calf leather by Root and Son with triple gilt rules and gilt floral decorative devices in each corner of both covers, gilt-lettered and decorated spine with five raised bands, gilt dentelles and marbled endpapers, top edge gilt; [vi], 82 pages. Illustrated with a hand-colored frontispiece, hand-colored title page vignette, and 18 hand-colored aquatint plates by A[ugust] Hervieu. A humorous account in narrative verse of a mother's problems in arranging suitable marriages for her daughters. Quite scarce when found with publisher's hand-coloring.
