At one time in the Tejas Club, with ex-libris stamp inside front cover of each volume. Excellent condition: the text is unmarked and unspoiled, the bindings are tight and attractive. From the Dorothy Sloan Texana Collection. First edition. Comprehensive, profusely illustrated regional survey on Fort Worth, northwest Texas, and the Panhandle, with much on ranching (including biographies of ranchers and cowboys). With articles on pioneers and leading citizens, agriculture, irrigation, early oil and gas industry, mineral resources, timber and lumber, railroads, etc. The photographs include portraits (i.a. Quanah Parker), notable architecture, views, ranching, buffalo, oil wells, etc.
