Dr. Reeves was an advocate of municipal hygiene in his hometown of Wheeling, West Virginia, he was the author of a bill for the State Board of Health. In 1885 he founded the Public Health Association and in 1895 was Vice-President of the International Hygiene Medical. An ex-library copy with their usual stamps, Bound in an olive green pictorial gilt cloth depicting a microscope, lettering gilt, dark brown coated endpapers.
