Very slight wear and fading at the edges; nearly fine copy.. 4to, original umber paper boards, brown lettering on the upper board. Engraved title with a depiction of Kelmscott Manor. A fine rendering of two unusually mellow poems by Robinson Jeffers that were inspired by a family visit to Kelmscott Manor in 1929, as described in the excerpt from Una's Journal, which precedes the poems. Two Consolations was printed on an Albion press that was once used by William Morris and later owned by Theodore Lilienthal of Gelber Lilienthal booksellers in San Francisco. The Quercus Press on the peninsula south of San Francisco was an avocation of Theodore Lilienthal, onetime proprietor of Gelber-Lilienthal Books in downtown San Francisco.
