This script was screenwriter Jesse Lasky Jr.’s own personal copy with his name stamped on the cover. Lasky has signed the script on the title page writing: “Written & produced in Rome, Jesse Lasky Jr.” City of Violence is the American version in English of the film made in Italy produced by the Italians/West Germans. The Italian title was Amore e sangue (Love and Blood), and was written and adapted by Jesse Lasky Jr. Directed by Marino Girolami (billed as “John Wolff”) starring Maria Montez in one of her last roles in this Italian romantic action period crime drama . The King in Rome sends an official to Naples to break up the Camorra, the powerful group running things behind the scenes, currently they are hunting the man who killed one of their members.
