In the appendix he proposes a peace and commerce treaty highly advantageous to the Crown. "Asserts that settling the colonies was unwise and all subsequent aid impolitic; they were a detriment to British trade and power. However, he submits a plan for pacification" - Howes. Adams locates fourteen copies. Scarce on the market. AMERICAN CONTROVERSY 82-7. HOWES A230. SABIN 1400.
