First edition bound in black cloth with gilt stamping on the upper cover and spine, in a dust jacket with soiling and edge-wear. The covers show light edge-wear, and light rubbing to the corners and spine-ends. The binding is solid. The contents are bright and clean but with some very faint foxing on the fore-edge. From the American First Editions collection of Donald C. Scriven (1948-2019). Don relished points of issue and the primacy of the dust jacket but above all he loved the literature! .
