Washington DC: National Negro Congress, 1940. Pamphlet. Four-panel 8.5x11 inch brochure opening to a poster; mild foxing and corner wear. Announcement of the event held at the United States Department of Labor Auditorium, which had some 1,285 delegates. The Congress sought equality on the job and in labor unions, fought police brutality and lynching, pursued voting rights in the South, and otherwise fought for complete parity for African Americans.
