This is the Autograph Edition, limited to 150 copies, this being #10. Each book has five illustrations, all of which are in two states with captioned tissue-guards. One of the two illustrations used as the frontispiece is HAND-COLORED in each volume. Some spines are sunned to tan. Pre4vious owner's book-plate on pastedown of each volume. We have found two copies of the Autograph Edition for sale in the last 30 years. Neither of the sets had an actual autograph, nor does ours. So we are assuming the term is in name only!! A very nice and cmplete set, with the spine fading being the only real flaw. Several of the novels are in two volumes. Charles Reade (1814-1884) was an English novelist and dramatist, best known for "The Cloister and the Hearth".. Autograph Edition, Limited. 3/4 Green Morocco.
