Title in negative along with photographer name 'Hunter'. Rare view of the once bustling Mining town of Marysville, Montana, which is located 20 miles from Helena. During the 1880s and 90s, Marysville was Montana's leading gold producer and had a population of 3,000 people. Today the town's inhabitants' number in the dozens. We find reference to a photographer named Hunter who was active in Butte c.1895 Mautz p.291).
