Baker that advertises the steamship company of the same name. A splendid reminder of the awe such steamships inspired in the American public in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Folio (14" by 10.5"), pp. 6, wrappers inclusive; original illustrated wrappers printed in red and black. Ink stamp of sheet music dealer Aschbach to upper wrapper. The American Line grew in 1886 when it bought the Inman Line, and merged with some of its peers in 1902 to form the International Mercantile Marine Company.
