Chicago: Reilly & Lee, (1920). Later printing of First Edition by Reilly & Lee. Very good+ in green cloth covered boards with black text on the spine and the image of a folded umbrella and on the front board is a very bright printed, color paste-on. A small quarto of 9 by 6 3/4 inches with a 1/4 inch hole eaten through the cloth by some small monster at the lower end of the spine and with the cloth worn down to the edge of the text block. The ownership page is filled in with a dated (1927) signature in pencil and the top margin of the title page is lightly soiled. (288) pages of text. Illustrated throughout with engravings from illustrations by John R. Neill with 12 full color inserts all of which are present and in undamaged condition. This copy is the 1920 printing by Reilly & Lee conforming to Paul Bienvenue's The Book Collector's Guide to L. Frank Baum p.248). (Bienvenue, p.248)
