Los Angeles: CBS Radio, 1953. Photocopy of the original 26 page unbound revised script for a radio broadcast of Cathy and Elliott Lewis on Stage, ‘A Circle of Wheels.’ which aired on November 18, 1953, written by Arthur Ross, starring Cathy Lewis, Elliott Lewis, Whitfield Connor, and Byron Kane. A few minor marks, else fine. This radio variety show was a vehicle for the husband and wife team of Cathy and Elliott Lewis, and featured a repertory of mostly dramatic stories. Elliott Lewis was one of the Golden Age of Radio’s most popular stars, known for his roles as Rex Stout's private eye Archie Goodwin, the heroic adventurer Phillip Carney on Mutual Network's Voyage of the Scarlet Queen, with perhaps his most famous role that of Frankie Remley on NBC's The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, whose seemingly singular purpose was to initiate one comically impossible situation after the next for Harris. Cathy Lewis is best known for her role as the ‘sensible’ roommate, paired with Marie Wilson's rather ditzy Irma in the 1947 - 1954 radio classic My Friend Irma. (Inventory #: 17182E)
