Rockwell Kent (1882-1971) was an American artist whose career as an illustrator was cemented by the very successful black and white drawings he produced to illuminate "Moby Dick." His illustrations for the work were first published by the Lakeside Press in 1930, nearly eighty years after the initial publication of "Moby Dick." A gorgeous and evocative treatment of the most successful whaling novel of all time, well worth spending some time with. (Inventory #: 67078)
