Norfolk: New Directions, 1938. Light blue cloth, stamped in gilt. Extremities sunned, ink name, a few pencil notes, but a good, sound copy in heavily worn, chipped and darkened dust jacket. First edition, first published state, U.S. issue (of GUIDE TO KULCHUR). A total of 1487 sets of sheets were printed for Faber, of which 520 were diverted for this American issue and 230 destroyed in storage during the blitz. One of Pound's most important critical works, dedicated to Louis Zukofsky and Basil Bunting, "strugglers in the desert." Uncommon. GALLUP A45a. (Inventory #: WRCLIT31658)
