Alice Dudeney (1864 - 1945) was the wife of Henry Ernest Dudeney (1857 - 1930), author, mathematician, and creator of puzzles and mathematical games. Alice Dudeney wrote many popular novels as well as a number of short stories in Harper's Magazine under the name "Mrs. Henry Dudeney.” Some of her best known works include The Head of the Family, The Wise Woods, A Baker’s Dozen, Quince Alley, What a Woman Wants, etc. (Inventory #: 17545E)
