Darkened and a bit foxed, four old pen strokes on half- title; a good copy. First (?) edition. A tract by the youngest son of Gilbert Burnet, published the year he was called to the Bar. " His attention was, however, directed to politics, not law, and he was notorious among the men of his time about town for debauchery and wit" - DNB. ESTC lists seven 1715 "editions," several of which appear to be reissues of the same edition; all but this version incorporate 'W. Wilkins" as printer in the main imprint.
