Inscribed by the author: "To Mr. Barrett Clark from George Kelly NY May 1929." Critics saw this play as: "a powerful study of the degeneration of a rich spolied woman" and Kelley's last "superb sketch of human folly." It starred Jean Dixon as "Constance Peyton." Barrett H. Clarke (1890-1953) was an actor and stage managr before becoming at editor at Samuel French and Company. He was executive director of the Dramatist Play Service. (Inventory #: 41506)
