Burose, Katalog der Calvoersche Bibliothek, p. 555, no. 6. This is the only edition of this dissertation on women's roles in classical Greece and Rome. This legal discussion focuses on the role and status, legal and social, of young women. Included are commentary on the role of married women, morality, sexual customs and prostitution. Pfeiffer was a professor of Theology at Kornigsberg and also wrote dissertations on the Gospels and the Apocalypse as well as a book on Greek Antiquities (1689).
