He moved to London to work with W. J. Hooker, director of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where Fitch became the sole artist for all official and unofficial publications. This lithograph is one of a series produced for H. J. Elwes's "Monograth of the Genus Lilium." Binding stain along right edge, small chip to upper left corner.
