Fine Early Copy of Ackermann's Oxford. An early copy. The list of plates in vol. I is the first state (it does not list the portraits of Founders; this copy does not include the Founders). Plate 1, vol.1, is mislabeled "History of Cambridge" and plate 50 bears the May 1, 1814 date - both are Abbey's first states. Plates 15, 39, 74, 78, 84 and 94 are Abbey's second state. There are 6 watermarked plates, each bearing the date 1812, and the half-title is present in both volumes.
