Serving as a rallying cry to the Republique to rectify the problems with the economy, stating the problems and describing an economic program to correct them. St Just was especially noted for his emotional, frequently fanatical and very enthusiastic displays. It was St. Just as a Member of the Committee of Public Safety, who demanded a trial and the execution of the King as an enemy of the people. He was a strong influence behind the downfall of Danton and accused Robespierre of illls against the nation, an act which resulted in both Robespierre's execution and also his own.
