1 vols
by Sheridan, Louisa H. (died 1841)
1 vols. Removed from a notebook. 1 vols. An amusing tale of a couple who were "nearly engaged" until the advent of the Spanish gentlemen who swept the young lady off her feet with "things Spanish." The author has written this tale as if it were notations in her diary and from the position as potential bridesmaid. The author was editor of the annual, "The Comic Offering: or ladies' melange of Literary Mirth" begun in 1831 until 1835, (NCBEL 3:1874). Given the content and probable audience for this work, it may have been included in one of the volumes. It was probably published as there is a notation on the verso of one of the leaves marking it for "Illustration".
