The Pines, Putney Hill, 1908. Two pages and one page respectively. 1 vols. Sm. 8vo. To "My dear Rossetti" and "My dear Sir." Some light discoloration, the first folded, lower edge rough else very good (2 pieces). Two pages and one page respectively. 1 vols. Sm. 8vo. To William Michael Rossetti and another. Watts-Dunton was a friend of both Michael and Dante Gabriel Rossetti and acted as Gabriel Rossetti's solicitor. Watts Dunton writes to William Michael Rossetti to say not to wait at home for him in case he's delayed and continues "I am much interested [ ] the preface and the title to the book. Could you bring it to Somerset House and let me have a peep at it." and comments that he hopes "that Mrs. Rossetti is feeling all right." Watts-Dunton was involved in encouraging Gabriel Rossetti in the publication of the works that became "Ballads and Sonnets" in 1881 but would also have been interested in any of the collections and editions of Gabriel's works that Michael produced.ΒΆ The second letter, recipient unidentified, states that he would prefer for him to call on Saturday and looks forward to seeing him.
