Later three quarter morocco, t.e.g., original wrappers bound in. Binding extremities rather worn, but sound, scattered foxing and soiling, text leaf has an old crease, wrappers mounted, with some small tears mended in the process, but a sound copy. Second edition (issue or impression), dated 1827 on the title. The first appeared in 1826. Nonetheless, this copy still retains the '20s' price on the front wrapper for the India proof copies that is characteristic of the earlier copies of the first issue. COHN 178.
