A collection of sea stories and sketches, including the title novella (which is criminous), by one of the greatest of late-Victorian nautical novelists. The book was published in the UK in London by Chatto & Windus in 1889, an edition rarely seen today. This U.S. edition was published by Appleton as number 41 of their "Town and Country Library."
