Bravard, who translated it into French.Schiller's play Kabale und Liebe (Love and Intrigue) was written and produced in 1784 in Mannheim where he was living in difficult conditions under an assumed name. The story provided the basis of the libretto for Giuseppi Verdi's opera, Louisa Miller, which carries the same title as does this French translation.Just one copy reported in OCLC First Search (Yale Univ.).
