I; contemporary full diced calf, smooth, gilt-decorated spines, back morocco labels, marbled edges; top of front joint in vol. I showing a small crack, upper joint on vol. II cracked, minor dampstain at the bottom of the spine of vol. III; extremities a bit rubbed; all else very good. Massinger (1583-1640) was a playwright contemporary with Shakespeare, Jonson, Beaumont and Fletcher. He collaborated with Fletcher in several works and possibly with Tourneur. This is the third collected edition of Massinger's works; the first was published in 1759 and edited by Coxeter,
