The result of the Massachusetts Constitutional Convention of 1820 was the passage of the first nine amendments to the constitution (five were rejected). They are first published here as "Amendments to the Constitution of Massachusetts, Articles I - IX," and include voting rights for both general and militia elections, modification of the sear of oaths of office, the disallowal of major elected officials from holding other offices, and the requirements for future amendments.
