Gray cloth with gilt embossed lettering to cover and spine, with original wrappers bound in. Modern endpapers. Bulletin of the Geographical Society of Vienna, the oldest still existing society of its kind. Founded in 1856, it has since changed little but its name, and is today known as Osterreichische Geographische Gesellschaft (ÖGG) (Austrian Geographical Society.) Magnificently illustrated at end of each volume, with full-page maps, fold-out maps and fold-out charts, some in color. Minor rubbing, scuffing to boards, with head and tails of spines bumped and rubbed. Browning to pages, not affecting text. Ex library and ex-libris, with ex-libris plate pasted onto all volumes (see above), but loose at vol. 2. In German. Very good condition. (Inventory #: 17030)
