Fearne was an eminent English real property lawyer and barrister of the Inner Temple who wrote a treatise on contingent remainders and executory devises, and other such arcana. His prefatory remarks laud Lord Mansfield, thank him for "condescending to notice, from the bench," his treatise; and "surrender" his side of an argument concerning the disposition of a Jamaica plantation from the estate of William Williams. This pamphlet, originally published in London in 1780, is a "new edition".
