Each pamphlet is a petition submitted by American companies, asserting a claim against the Republic of Mexico. The Sharps' Rifle Manufacturing Company submits two such claims; and the firm of Sanderson Brothers submits the other. All the asserted debts arise from sales of rifles to the Government of Mexico in 1859. Each petition is printed in English and Spanish. (Inventory #: 26214)
