Contains 21 metal-engraved maps printed on double plates (plates folded at the inner margin) and index of place names on pp. 3–34. Publisher's advertisement facing the title-page. Plates signed by P. E. Hamm and J. Yeager.
Provenance: Inscription to endpaper in Latin, "Henricus agee" ("MDCCCXXXV"). Contemporary half sheep over marbled paper-covered boards; binding rubbed, chipped, worn and weak with covers partially detached and paper title-label on front cover partly lost. Early inked inscription on front free endpaper as above. Leaves cockled, stained, foxed, and soiled (especially blank leaves). First several leaves and plates waterstained; faint to moderate foxing to many plates; top outer corner of title-leaf torn away with loss of one letter of title and affecting another. A lesser copy for sure, priced reflecting that; still one with the maps untattered and all present — an interesting volume. (Inventory #: 8320)
