Illustrated with an engraved title-page and frontispiece; there are also some tailpieces of which several are striking.
Shaw & Shoemaker 2316. 19th-century sheep, spine gilt-stamped; binding much rubbed and abraded, front cover off, back cover re-attached with glue, chipped at head and foot of spine, boards exposed on corners. Heavy staining, foxing, and browning to early and later pages; variable spotting. Frontispiece with short tear to outer edge; lacks front free endpaper and fly-leaf; glue and paper adhering along top margin on some pages. Ink owner's signature at top of frontispiece and inscription on front pastedown. (Inventory #: 16630)
