Scarce sole edition, printed on wove paper, of Preston's defense of the legitimacy of his having won the Royal Irish Academy's prize for an essay on manufacturing in Ireland. The final five pages giving the text of the table of contents of Preston's essay are not present here, but the defense of himself and the Academy is complete.
